A lifelong desire to create things sent me to Penn State to study art, and it was there that I fell in love with photography. I couldn’t get enough of the darkroom, and felt completely lost without my camera by my side. I photographed anything and everything I could, but took special enjoyment in photographing in junkyards and fallen down buildings and how the juxtaposition of nature and man made structures came together through my camera lens. I felt a closeness with the architecture not only of the buildings, but of the world around me. That closeness has always remained with me.
